ALMANZO WILDER DVD - Thanks ALIWA!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

This past weekend’s shoot in Malone was a great success.  Those of you who were there know that we had a beautiful day on Saturday…after a brief heavy rain in the morning.  The highlight of the event was the performance of the beautiful Morgan horses. Once you see one of these beautiful animals how could you not be blown away by their beauty and versatility. The day before we shot our footage for the documentary featuring two wonderful young men playing Almanzo and a tirelessly talented man who played our version of Almanzo’s father, James.  Now the serious editorial begins utilizing the footage we shot last weekend as well as the video we captured last September during Almanzo’s 150th birthday celebration. Thanks for every one who made the journey to the homestead.  It was a great day.  We’re all really excited to make the DVD. Dean

ALMANZO WILDER DOC - RETURN TO MALONE

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

I apologize for my infrequent entries this spring, but I just want to let you all know that I am now actively preparing for the return trip to Malone, NY during which I will shoot the necessary footage to complete ALMANZO WILDER: Life Before Laura.  Its going to be a very full, but satisfying three days at the Wilder Homestead. We’ll be shooting all three days, with an emphasis on meeting Wilder Homestead visitors on Saturday June 21.  We’ll be doing a one day only signing of special collector DVD cover cards with an attractive commemorative sticker attached.  June 21 will be the only date on which this special cover will be available prior to the release of the documentary in September.  There will be a modest charge of $10…all of which goes to the Wilder Homestead to support the later release of the DVD.More later. All best,Dean
