Can’t wait to see it Dean. Having been a fan of Laura’s for 35 years, I can say that a documentary on her life and career is long overdue. I am especially happy since my girls will soon reach the age when they can start reading her books and now will also have a visual companion to see and understand who Laura really was. That was something I didn’t have as a young girl reading her books for the first time.

I can’t wait to see the presentation of the new Laura Ingalls Wilder documentary next week - I am sooo excited…
After I have seen the trailer I know it will be a wonderful experience.

Dean, can I buy the dvd at the presentation in Sioux Falls already?

I would like to see your documentary. I’m sure it will be very interesting. The trailer was nice. I read Laura Ingalls Wilder books as a child. Actually I read everything I could get my hands on. But I digress. I didn’t really care for the Little House tv shows. Too weepy. And all that running. They ran to school. They ran home. If they had in reality had to do all the chores that has to be done on a farm, they wouldn’t have been doing all that running. Anyway, I do want to see this documentary and I would also like to see more of your work. I have just discovered you and am very impressed. I did see you a few times on little house. I thought what a pretty man. And now I find you also have brains. Wonderful! Keep up the good work.

We are so looking forward to seeing this. I agree, a LIW documentary is long overdue!

Additionally, we are truly looking forward to your visit to the museum in August!

As a long-time, closet Little House Geek, I have now seen this documentary in Sioux Falls, SD, and I am impressed. It’s a closer look at Laura’s writing career, does a great job with the “controversy” over Rose’s contributions to the books, and spotlights the deep and abiding love between Laura and Almanzo. Cheers!

I am SO looking forward to the DVD about Laura. We are Home schoolers and have been using her books this year as our curriculum. We look forward to seeing you at the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford NY in August!

    Blessings!!

I too have seen the documentary in Sioux Falls this past weekend and I absolutely loved it. I pride myself in my knowledge of Laura Ingalls Wilder, but this documentary even taught me a thing or two. Very well done Dean and I can’t wait until I can add it to my growing Little House collection. See you again in July…

I’m very excited about this one, Dean. I wish I had been able to travel to Sioux Falls to see it with my chums, but mommy duties call. I’m hoping maybe NY will be my shot to see you. We’ll have to see what the schedule looks like.

    Wishing you the best,

    Cheryl

Dean, do you keep a mailing list for scatterbrains like me who need a nudge to remember when something new is coming out? Put me on it if you do. Can’t wait to see it. Warmly, Cat

Hi, It’s me again. On a personal note (I’m very sure no one cares, but I’m gonna tell you anyway.) I don’t go by my given name. I’ve always been Tad. (Short for Tadpole) What can I say? I’m from the south. So I am Tad. Hi. I feel the need to apologize. I’ve been reading the comments from everyone and also some comments from older dates and everyone is so nice and pleasant and cheery and gushy and I sound like old grumpy gus. I hope I didn’t make you mad, Dean. I hope you won’t ban me from you’re blog. My sisters and my husband are always saying ” Tad, you’re so weird. I’m always trying to read them interesting articles I find and when I walk into a room with a newspaper or something, they’ll scatter like a covey of quail. To quote Rodney Dangerfield ” I don’t get no respect.” So please forgive me nice people. And I promise I’ll try to play nice. Signing off, Tad
